Sara finished her championship at 2 years old. Showing Sara was a bit of a pain. The majority of the time I had her out showing she HATED her show lead and collar which really threw off her movement. I was told more than one time that she was limping but I knew it was all due to her fighting her collar. It would not be unusual to see her cross over in the front on a down only to then move the front wide when coming back. She was also a very clumsy teenager and it was common place to see her trip over her own feet. Although I do get a glimpse of that goofy movement every now and again she has pretty much resolved her issues and has good movement. She is capable of very nice reach and drive and a clean down and back but I don't think we'll work too hard on perfecting that since she has her championship. Sara is unlike any bloodhound I have had. She is a confident bitch but is also very soft. She is also a very sweet dog and loves to cuddle up to another warm body. Like many young bloodhounds Sara went through many gawky stages while growing and we probably won't know exactly what we have until she is at least 4. The good thing is that she is maturing nicely and all those body parts that seemed questionable are coming together. She is a lot of fun, busy and loves to learn. I look forward to attempting obedience with her! We were certainly blessed when this little singleton puppy was born and could not have asked for more with our first "litter".

Sara winning her first two majors - first weekends out at 7 months & 8 months.
