Riley is our silly boy. He always brings a smile to our faces. Riley did very well in the show ring as a young dog. He has his American & Canadian championship titles w/limited showing. He went BISS at the 2002 Canadian National Specialty. Riley also has his MT. He was not fond of showing and while having gastropexy surgery we decided to have him neutered as well. Knowing we were soon adding a female to our home we did not want to add any stress to his life by keeping him intact. Riley is what I consider a beautiful representitive of the breed. He has a nice head, wonderful lip, long elegant neck, thick body, moderate angle and adequet bone. There is no telling what his show career could have been IF he only enjoyed it more but there is more to life than the show ring and he is very happy staying put and being our silly boy.
I would just like to mention what a spectacular breeding Riley is from. There are 6 champions and 6 group placers. At the 2000 ABC national specialty the 4 littermates shown won 1-4 in the 9-12 month class (and it was a good sized class). The boy who won the class went on to win RWD and best puppy. One sibling has his CD, and 4 (or 5) have their MT's. Brother Kirby along with his owner Joe Canfield have been a much needed asset to the community by helping to convict criminals and find so many lost people. This is truly an amazing litter and I would like to thank all the breeders behind the pedigree who are responsible for these wonderful representatives of the breed.
